Denise started her yoga journey in 2014 as a means to cope with work stress. She sought sanctuary from yoga as a source of comfort and strength. As she progressed with her practice, her love for yoga deepened and led her to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She started teaching and sharing what she loves in 2017.
Denise’s classes are lighthearted with an emphasis on alignment and proper breathing techniques. She believes in holding a safe space that brings people back to themselves by creating a sense of acceptance as they connect to their breath, shape-shifting bodies and self-discovery of deep knowing. By giving back to the community through teaching, she hopes that others would find healing in yoga just as she did.
Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga were her initial trainings and since then, she has expanded her repertoire to Yin Yoga and Pre- and Post-Natal Yoga. She is also currently taking her Mat Pilates certification and loves blending strength-building routines into her classes. Do join her for classes and she promises a good sweat!
