Yoga Holidays

Sri Lanka - Reunite body, mind and soul

Known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka boasts incredible natural beauty, extraordinary biodiversity as well as precious gemstones. We are headed to Rukgala Retreat, just 3.5 hours away from Colombo city, to enjoy good food, daily yoga and movement, and some easy adventure.

Rukgala is a boutique yoga and wellness-focused ‘hotel’ on the shores of the Victoria Lake near Kandy. Boutique means we are able to make the entire place ours for 5 days and 4 nights and do whatever we like — from longer yoga practices (since no one will be disturbing us), mindfulness exercises, movements, trekking, visiting tea plantations, and sitting around tables and sharing stories.

For the 9-13 April group, Li Ling and Dawn are the co-teachers.

For the 16-20 April group, Li Ling and Karen Champion are the co-teachers.

Li Ling

Li Ling is a teacher at and owner of Kate Porter Yoga and is passionate about sharing yoga that is accessible to everyone. She is on her own journey as well whereby her own yoga practice is more about going inwards, about honouring where her physical body is at right now, and one where her headspace is transitioning between stability and inconsistency. She is working through her transitions with more emphasis on breathwork and meditation and has been injecting more of these in class. More on her here.
