Lake Toba 5D4N Yoga Holiday
Tongging Point Hotel

Silence is the universal refuge, the sequel to all dull discourses and all foolish acts, a balm to our every chagrin, as welcome after satiety as after disappointment.

Fancy practising yoga and breathing in the clouds at 1,200 metres above sea level overlooking Lake Toba, the world’s largest crater lake as well as the largest lake in Southeast Asia? In addition to twice-daily yoga, you will be enjoying organic produce from organic farms, fruit orchards, tea and coffee plantations.

Join Li Ling and Hazel in our next Yoga Holiday at Taman Simalem in Sumatra, Indonesia. The resort is situated on a sprawling 206-hectare estate. Because of its height, the cool, crisp air will immediately set us at ease and the stunning view of Lake Toba will take our breath away (or enhance our breath during practice).

Over 5 days, you are invited to take a break from the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in a different pace of life, admire the scenery and sip your tea or coffee without haste. Just allow nature to nurture you, along with healthy eating and mindful movement practices.

All are welcome, yogis and non-yogis. At least 8 pax for this yoga holiday to go ahead.

Hazel’s teaching is down-to-earth and grounded in building a strong foundation through alignment, rhythm and breath. She brings a sense of lightheartedness to the mat and is able to skilfully break down challenging postures and transitions in a safe, mindful and accessible manner. She encourages her students to approach the practice with a good sense of humour, an adventurous, yet compassionate spirit. More on her here.

Li Ling

Li Ling is a teacher at and owner of Kate Porter Yoga and is passionate about sharing yoga that is accessible to everyone. She is on her own journey as well whereby her own yoga practice is more about going inwards, about honouring where her physical body is at right now, and one where her headspace is transitioning between stability and inconsistency. She is working through her transitions with more emphasis on breathwork and meditation and has been injecting more of these in class. More on her here.
