Pop-Up: Yin Yoga and Sound Therapy
San and singing bowls
What it's about

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself. Usually done after or during a yoga or movement practice, this is a luxurious and rejuvenating practice for anyone. Tired muscles and body gets a break while the mind basks in the vibrations produced by the meditative resonance of Himalayan singing bowls in the background. The hope is that you will not only hear the sounds, but feel the vibrations.

San, who teaches this class usually on the last Sunday of every month, is a firm believer of honouring your body and your state of mind during your practice. She lugs along her array of singing bowls, big and small, and hopes to lull you into a deep state of relaxation and recharge.

Suitable for all levels.
