Knowing your body well is the key to optimising your yoga practice so it’s effective, injury-free and uplifting. This workshop series is going to teach you to easily and simply identify your body in movement and from that foundation, explain how you could best approach the asana practice. What types of movement do you need more of; what movements do you tend to overwork; what are your strengths and weaknesses in movement; where are you blocked in your movement? Knowing this, you will have the tools to understand what your body needs most.
This is a fascinating deep dive into movement, anatomy, asana, sequencing, self-practice and injury prevention! This is also a unique approach to offering asana workshops and one that will equip you to further your practice with the mature understanding of an advanced practitioner.
This series is designed as a whole course. So for ‘In-studio’ slots, preference will be given to those who book all three sessions. This is an all-levels class and you do not need advanced proficiency in asana. You do however need to be willing to learn specifics about your body and the yoga practice. As such, this series will be of particular interest to teachers to learn how to sequence your classes and assist students in a variety of situations.
