Workshops are typically two-hour sessions delving deeper into a particular topic. Participants spend more time discussing and dissecting the topic, learn unfamiliar techniques that are not normally taught in regular yoga sessions, and have a greater chance of understanding the topic better.

What it’s about:

Inversions can be scary at times but the benefits make it worth exploring. From improving circulation and moving the lymphatic system to building core strength and improving focus, inversions in yoga teach us, more than anything, to stay grounded.

Inversions reintroduce us to our inner child and remind us that the asana practice is also a time to be playful and lighthearted! And before we ‘get it’, the many attempts remind us of how much more we have to learn, and how truly it is about the journey, not simply the destination.

This workshop is most suitable for people who are new to inversions. Not suitable if you suffer from shoulder/neck injuries, blood pressure-related conditions. and wrist issues.

Teacher:

Li Ling started her yoga journey more than a decade ago. Having been a very active netball player in school and outside of work then, she saw yoga as another form of physical exercise to complement her existing training schedule. Today, Li Ling’s teachings draw from her diverse trainings in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Myofascia Release, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and overlayed with her background in sports. More on her here.
